| smartFOCUS acquires Email Reaction
Bristol, 24 May 2006 - smartFOCUS, a European-headquartered vendor of Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) software, has announced the acquisition of Email Reaction, which provides email, web, RSS and online marketing services, for £1.6m in shares and cash.
smartFOCUS is an international marketing software and service group which is listed on AIM of the London Stock Exchange. Headquartered in Bristol, UK, the company has offices in Paris and Nimes, Amsterdam, The Netherlands and Boston. Email Reaction will continue to operate from its offices in West London & Southampton.
The acquisition brings together two fast-growing companies to create a complete enterprise marketing management solution and service business.
The combined companies will provide an end-to-end solution that integrates offline and online marketing and spans data, analytics, reporting, campaign management, content management and digital execution. Offering a complete suite of marketing tools for both online and offline marketing will significantly strengthen smartFocus’s competitive position in the Enterprise Marketing Management market.

Following the acquisition, the enlarged smartFOCUS Group will have a total of about 300 customers. The list includes AC Nielsen, AAA, ABN AMRO, Air France, AOL, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, Center Parcs, Cofidis, Cofinoga, Kraft, P&G, France Telecom, Hilton International, The Labour Party, News International, Penguin Books UK, Pierre et Vacances, POLKOMTEL, Rabobank, Reward, Societe Generale, Winterthur and Zurich Financial Services.
