Bryan brings over 20 years' experience in the IT and software industry, working in senior UK and international roles within private and public companies. Bryan Black reports to smartFOCUS CEO Chris Underhill and heads the smartFOCUS DIGITAL management board, which includes Email Reaction co-founders Mike and Pete Austin.

Mike
Austin - Technical Director
Mike has been involved in cutting-edge software
development for over 20 years. As a partner in Level
9 Computing he developed award-winning adventure
games, before moving on to global corporate consultancy
work in systems architecture and development, latterly with Lloyds TSB and Reuters. He was an early adopter of Microsoft’s
new technology, introducing his clients to the benefits
of new systems such as COM. Mike’s extensive
expertise covers Windows NT/2000, Internet development,
email systems, computer security and financial software. In 2000 he co-founded Email Reaction.

Peter
Austin - Development Director
Peter wrote one of the first email packages in 1980
and has been a programmer, designer and writer ever
since. He led Level 9 Computing for several years
before handing control to Mike. During the 90s Peter
worked as a consultant on state-of-the-art, real-time
financial data projects for major international
companies in the City of London. He is now an authority
on Windows, Internet development and real-time,
multi-user systems. In 2000 he co-founded Email Reaction.

Tim Watson - Operations Director
Tim has been working in technology for over 20 years. A chartered engineer, he began his career with a mix of hardware and software development leading teams involved in every part of the project life cycle, from conception to completion. He is a highly experienced manager of development and customer support teams. Prior to joining Email Reaction in 2005, he was responsible for software delivery for multi-million pound contracts for Tandberg Television.

Eddy Swindell - Sales Director
Eddy has worked in digital marketing for 10 years. After graduating with an Honours degree in business he was drawn to the technology and new media sector. Before joining Email Reaction in 2003, he worked for a number of high profile digital publishers including UpMyStreet.com and Peoplesound. Eddy’s mix of commercial understanding and knowledge of digital marketing technologies helps our clients match our technology solutions with their business objectives.
